Tariff plan hike: Now the common man will not be able to keep a mobile phone! Customers are going to get a big shock once again | News India

Increase in tariff plans: In the near future, owning a phone will not be within the reach of the common man. At one time, telecom companies had made even poor people addicted to mobile phones and internet by making plans cheaper, but now these companies have started making tariff plans expensive. There is a buzz that telecom companies may once again make tariff plans expensive. This will be a big blow for the customers.

Let us tell you that private telecom companies had made all their recharge plans expensive two months ago. Due to the expensive plans of the companies, the burden on the pockets of mobile users has increased by 25 percent compared to earlier. Now in the coming days, telecom companies can once again give a big shock to the users. Due to the new policy of TRAI, these companies can once again make their recharge plans expensive.

Actually, the telecom regulator has asked the telecom department to bring a new policy on fake calls and messages. This new policy will come into effect from October 1, 2024. Under this, if telecom companies do not follow this new policy, then heavy fines will be imposed on them.

Along with this, TRAI has directed to impose heavy fines on telecom companies that fail to stop fake calls and messages. The regulator has also suggested the Department of Telecommunications to seize the bank guarantee of telecom companies to recover the fine.

The burden will increase on common users
Under the new policy, the telecom department may agree to impose heavy fines instead of cancelling the licenses of the companies. In such a situation, there will be an additional burden on the companies which the companies can recover from the users. These companies are already increasing the average revenue per user to reduce their losses, which has recently made the recharge plans more expensive.

In fact, it has been generally observed that all telecom companies increase the burden on common consumers in order to reduce their losses or invest in new technology. In such a situation, if the companies have to pay a fine, then the average income per user will decrease. To compensate for this, mobile recharge plans may become expensive.
