Target to open 34 Agri Junctions in Mirzapur, youth will become self-reliant

Mirzapur, June 22 (HS). The state government is providing a golden opportunity for the educated youth of rural areas. Youth can become self-reliant by opening Agri Junction. The target is to open 34 Agri Junctions in Mirzapur. The Agriculture Department will help in getting a loan of up to five lakh rupees from the bank for five years. Also, a discount of 60 thousand rupees on the interest on the loan will be provided.

Deputy Agriculture Director Vikesh Patel said that under the Trained Agricultural Entrepreneur Swavalamban Yojana year 2024-25, farmers are being provided agricultural centers (Agri Junction) for their crop products. Facilities in Agri Junction will be made available through one stop shop. Applicants can submit till July 15. The age of the applicant should not be more than 40 years on August 14, 2024. Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Women applicants will be given five years relaxation in age.

The Deputy Agriculture Director told that unemployed agriculture graduates, agricultural business management graduates, graduates in agriculture and allied subjects horticulture, animal husbandry, forestry, dairy, veterinary, poultry and degree holders from any state and central university or any other university can apply. Under the scheme, authorization letter for sale of agricultural input fertilizers, seeds, agricultural chemicals and one year shop rent will be provided to the eligible beneficiaries by the Agriculture Department. Free application form for Agri Junction can be obtained from the Deputy Agriculture Director Krishi Bhawan Pipardar on any working day from 10 am to 5 pm.
