Tamil Nadu BJP chief K. Annamalai accepted the mandate, said- will review the defeat

New Delhi, June 05 (HS). Tamil Nadu BJP chief K. Annamalai said that we accept the mandate of the people. The results in the state were not as expected, we did not get seats, but we are happy to form the government for the third time at the Centre.

In a press conference on Wednesday, Annamalai said that we had hoped that a BJP Lok Sabha member would also go to Parliament from Tamil Nadu, but this did not happen. We are not disappointed and will work hard. We will analyse this defeat and discuss it in a week.

Annamalai congratulated the newly elected members of the Lok Sabha of the Indy Alliance on their victory and promised his support. He said that he would support the MPs in bringing welfare schemes in the state. We see this election as a lesson and we will perform better than before. We will make our candidates win in the upcoming assembly elections in the state. It is noteworthy that Tamil Nadu BJP chief K. Annamalai contested from the Coimbatore Lok Sabha seat.
