Cairo, March 11 (HS). Talks for ceasefire and peace in Gaza during the month of Ramadan can be held in Cairo this week. Israel has given this information. In this regard, David Burnia, head of the Israeli intelligence organization Mossad, has met William Burns, director of the American intelligence agency CIA.
According to the Israeli Prime Minister's office, Israel is fully cooperating with the mediators for the ceasefire. Efforts are also being made to resolve the disagreements between both the parties for this agreement. According to Hamas sources, the organization will send its delegation to Cairo this weekend for ceasefire talks.
Israel is ready for a temporary ceasefire for the release of its 130 hostage civilians. There are continuous demonstrations in Israel for the release of these hostages. It may be noted that in the one-week ceasefire in November 2023, Hamas had released 105 Israeli hostages. In return, three times the number of Palestinian prisoners were released from Israeli jails.
Lebanon's armed organization Hezbollah fired 35 rockets into northern Israel on Sunday. Some buildings have been damaged by these attacks but no casualties have been reported. This is being considered a response to Israel's Saturday air attack on Lebanon. Earlier on Saturday, five members of a family were killed and nine were injured in an Israeli attack in southern Lebanon.
Preparations for the month of Ramadan have started amid the horror of war in Gaza and the West Bank. While preparations are being made amid the uncertainty of the ceasefire in Gaza, religious activities are being carried out in the West Bank under the shadow of Israeli security forces. There are tight security arrangements in the streets of Jerusalem's Old City. Every day, tens of thousands of people will try to go to the Al Aqsa Mosque for prayers, but Israeli forces will try to stop most of them, following the restrictions.
