New Delhi, June 27 (HS). After December 2021, once again the telecom companies in the country have prepared to increase the headline tariff. Various telecom companies can increase the tariff by 15 to 20 percent in the month of July itself. Due to this, talking on mobile phone will become more expensive.
It is believed that after the spectrum auction is over, telecom companies have prepared to increase the tariff rates. Earlier in December 2021, telecom companies had increased the headline tariff rates. Since then, there has been no change in the headline tariff. However, telecom companies have been increasing the base pack plan as per their own.
According to experts, telecom companies can increase the headline tariff by 15 to 20 percent in the first week of July. This increase can be done in both prepaid and postpaid. Telecom companies have spent Rs 11,340 crore in the spectrum auction, so it has become necessary for the companies to monetize their 5G plans.
Due to the possibility of increase in mobile tariff, the movement of telecom companies in the stock market was also seen to be bullish today. Bharti Airtel's share closed at Rs 1,475.80 today with a gain of Rs 16.30 or 1.12 percent. Similarly, Vodafone Idea Limited's share managed to close at Rs 18.52 with a gain of 2.77 percent.
