Taliban’s ‘surgical strike’: Taliban air force destroys ISIS-K hideouts by entering Pakistani territory Taliban’s ‘surgical strike’: Taliban air force destroys ISIS-K hideouts by entering Pakistani territory

The ongoing border dispute between Afghanistan and Pakistan has now turned into a war-like situation. The Taliban has given a very aggressive response to the air strikes carried out by Pakistan inside the Afghan border in late June. The Afghan Air Force has carried out drones and air strikes in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces inside the Pakistani border. The Taliban claims that these attacks have been carried out on terrorist targets from where Islamic State Khorasan (ISIS-K) terrorists were plotting to create instability in Afghanistan.

Taliban’s big claim: Terrorist hideouts destroyed, civilians safe

According to Afghan news agency ‘Tolo News’, the Defense Ministry of the Islamic Emirate has officially confirmed these airstrikes. The ministry spokesperson said in clear words that from the targets which were targeted, plans were being made to kill innocent civilians and carry out large-scale sabotage inside Afghanistan. The Taliban has made it clear that this operation has been carried out with complete precision, in which the terrorists have suffered huge losses, while there is no news of any civilian casualties in this retaliation.

Why is Afghanistan enraged?

The retaliatory strike is a result of recent airstrikes by Pakistan inside Afghanistan that, according to the Taliban government, killed at least 38 Afghan civilians and seriously injured 163 people, including a large number of women and children. The United Nations Assistance Mission (UNAMA) also confirmed the magnitude of these attacks. In contrast, Pakistani security forces claimed to have killed 29 terrorists in those attacks, but Afghanistan has vehemently denied this claim.

India’s strict warning: attack on sovereignty will not be tolerated

India has also reacted sharply to this entire incident. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has termed the Pakistani airstrikes as a violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty and a direct threat to regional peace. India clearly believes that Pakistan is taking such reckless steps to divert attention from its internal failures and economic crisis. The Taliban have also warned the world that they are not going to spare any base or terrorist who destabilizes the security of Afghanistan in the future, even if it is located across the border.
