Images of living things on Afghan Taliban ban: Taliban has implemented a strange law in Helmand province of Afghanistan. In which a ban has been imposed on showing pictures of live animals in the media. This order was introduced to ensure compliance with the Taliban's moral laws.
Taliban's harsh law
Announcing the decision, Education Ministry officials said videography and photography of humans and live animals has been banned. There is a plan to implement this law in the country in a phased manner. After seizing power in Afghanistan, Taliban is implementing strict Islamic laws one after the other. Saiful Islam Khyber, spokesman for the Ministry of Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (PVPV), said that this law will be implemented in Afghanistan in a phased manner.
What is the new law?
Under this law, showing pictures of living things is against Islamic law. Which has to be followed. However, Khyber stressed that compliance with this law will not be enforced. This is presented as advice only.
These laws were also made
Legislation regulating public transport, shaving, media and gatherings was introduced in August. The tightening of media laws last week resulted in a complete ban on most television, radio and newspapers. Notably, such restrictions do not apply in other Muslim-majority countries, including Iran and Saudi Arabia.
