Take strictest action against those doing black marketing: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav | News India

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that as the demand for fertilizers increases, there is a possibility of black marketing, illegal storage and manufacturing of fake fertilizers. The system of inspection and checking should be increased by taking the cooperation of the police. Strict action should be taken against those involved in black marketing, adulteration, mis-branding and using fake fertilizers. To control illegal transportation of fertilizers, continuously monitor the movement of fertilizers from one district to another. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gave these instructions while discussing soybean procurement, fertilizer availability and distribution with Collector-Commissioner in video-conferencing from Samatva Bhawan on Saturday.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that there is sufficient availability of fertilizer in the state for Kharif 2024-25. Expressing his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the approval given to Madhya Pradesh for soybean procurement under the Price Support Scheme, he directed the officials to make better arrangements for procurement in the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that natural farming should be encouraged in the state so that as much information as possible is given to the farmers to promote the use of NPK, Liquid Nano Urea in place of DAP as per requirement. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed the collectors to ensure damage assessment of crops along with revenue staff and public representatives. In case of need of double lock for manure storage, instructions were given to take necessary action in coordination with the Agricultural Production Commissioner. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has asked to take strict action against those selling, storing and transporting sub-standard fertilizers and seeds.

Dr. Yadav said that for Rabi 2024-25, ensure solid arrangements for fertilizer distribution as per Kharif 2024. He said that sufficient quantity of fertilizers are available in the state for Rabi 2024-25. All district collectors should make better preparations and ensure action by coordinating with their senior officers to ensure that there is no disturbance in the distribution system. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that natural farming should be promoted as much as possible in the state as per the vision of Prime Minister Modi. Encourage farmers as much as possible to use NPK and liquid nano urea. Their use by farmers will also reduce the country's dependence on other nations. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed happiness over the use of NPK being 45 percent in Kharif 2024, which was only 26 percent in the year 2023-24. He instructed the officials to take action as per the demand of Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat to provide 3 more racks of fertilizer in Malwa region. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has also instructed the officials to open additional sales counters at double lock centers for systematic distribution of fertilizers.

The Chief Minister has asked to take soybean procurement action sensitively under the Price Support Scheme. He said that the state government will procure soybean in addition to the quantity determined by the central government. The process of registration of farmers on the e-procurement portal has started in the state from September 25. More and more farmers should be registered on the portal. Registration of farmers will be done by 20th October. After this, the process of slot booking for procurement will be done till 21st December. Soybean will be procured from farmers from 25 October to 31 December 2024 at 1400 centers in the state. It can also be changed as per requirement. Payment to farmers will be made online. Soybean will be procured everywhere in the state except 7 districts Datia, Bhind, Katni, Mandla, Balaghat, Sidhi and Singrauli. Soybean procurement will be considered when proposals come from these districts.

In the meeting, Cooperative Minister Vishwas Sarang, Chief Secretary Veera Rana, Agriculture Production Commissioner Mohammad Suleman, Additional Chief Secretary Chief Minister's Office Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Additional Chief Secretary Transport S.N. Mishra, Additional Chief Secretary Agriculture Ashok Barnawal, Principal Secretary Chief Minister's Office Sanjay Shukla, Secretary and Commissioner Agriculture M. Selvendran, Commissioner Public Relations Dr. Sudam P. Khade, Director Agriculture Ajay Gupta, MP Markfed Alok Kumar Singh were present. Agriculture Minister Aidal Singh Kanshana, Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and other public representatives participated in the meeting through video conferencing.
