A civil engineer named Nishtha shared a post on the job search website LinkedIn. She told that a few days ago her husband had booked Swiggy Genie to take his laptop bag from one office to another. There was also a laptop in the bag, but the Swiggy delivery boy neither made the delivery nor switched off his phone midway.
After this, when her husband called Swiggy's customer care regarding this matter, he got a different answer from there. Swiggy Genie's customer service sent him two pictures and asked him to identify which one was the delivery agent.
What happened when you contacted the delivery boy?
Nishtha further told in the post that when she asked Swiggy's customer care to look at her Aadhaar card and PAN card and extract the details of the delivery boy from her login credentials and give it to her, then a new twist came in the story.
When the couple contacted the delivery boy through WhatsApp, they got a reply that one of their friends was working as a delivery boy using their login ID. However, after some time a message came from there, which said that if you want a laptop, send Rs 15,000.
What did Swiggy do about this?
Responding to Nishtha's post, Swiggy's customer care said that they have taken action in the matter and removed the delivery executive from their platform. However, on Nishtha's post, people are asking various questions about the delivery app.
Many of these people say that strict action should be taken against the delivery boy. Apart from this, some people have also advised to contact the police in this matter.
