Swiatek reached the last eight by winning in just 40 minutes | Live Updates, Unveiling the Latest India News Trends

Paris, June 3 (HS). Two-time French Open champion Iga Swiatek dominated the clay major on Sunday, beating Anastasia Potapova 6-0, 6-0 in just 40 minutes to enter the last eight.

It was the fastest win of Swiatek's career and the second-shortest match at Roland Garros after Steffi Graf's 32-minute victory over Natasha Zvereva in the 1988 final.

“I was really focused and in my zone. I wasn't looking at the score, so I just kept working on my game,” Swiatek said in an on-court interview after the match.

Next up for Swiatek is defending Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova, who is seeded fifth and ended the campaign of Serbian qualifier Olga Danilovic in straight sets.

US Open winner Coco Gauff also registered an easy win. The third seed defeated world number 51 Elisabetta Cocciaretto 6-1, 6-2.

Cocciaretto had defeated two top-20 players to reach the last 16, but Gauff used her experience to win. In the next round, Gauff will face 8th seed Ons Jabeur, who defeated Denmark's young player Clara Tauson 6-4, 6-4.
