Lucknow, June 16 (HS). State's Jalshakti Minister Swatantradev Singh said that the Ken-Betwa link project of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh will become a lifeline for Bundelkhand. This will provide irrigation facility in two lakh fifty one thousand hectares of area and drinking water will also be available to the local people.

On Sunday, the Jalshakti Minister told the media about the projects benefiting the public that work will be done on five projects worth five thousand one hundred twenty one crores in Uttar Pradesh. The total cost of the projects has been fixed at 44 thousand six hundred five crores.

Regarding Bundelkhand, Swatantradev Singh said that the people of Bundelkhand will get great benefits from the Ken-Betwa Link Project. The dry land of Bundelkhand will get more water for irrigation. The farmers and people of various districts Banda, Mahoba, Jhansi and Lalitpur will get immense help from the project.
