Saharsa, 23 September (HS). Under the Swachh Bharat Mission Lohia Swachh Bihar Abhiyan, Swachhata Hi Seva is being organised from 17 September to 2 October in the current year.
It is being celebrated as a festival in the entire district. School children, Jeevika sisters, health workers and local common citizens are participating enthusiastically in the above mentioned cleanliness campaign. Under this campaign, Ayushman cards of common people along with sanitation workers were made by organizing a camp in Program Panchayat Bariahi on Monday. Children participated enthusiastically in cleaning the school premises in various schools of Madhya Vidyalaya Murali Basantpur, Kanya Madhya Vidyalaya, Panchgachhiya and Block Saur Bazar. On the said occasion, children were made aware about washing hands with soap, cutting nails and staying clean. Under the Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan organized today, cleaning, repair, painting and beautification of the sanitation premises has been done in Kopadia Panchayat of Salkhua Block.
Also, in Mohanpur Panchayat, a discussion was organized by the local Jeevika Didi's on the topic “Cleanliness is Service” in which a large number of local citizens participated. In the same way, in the cleanliness campaign organized under the leadership of sanitation workers in Atalkha Panchayat of Sonbarsa block, a large number of local citizens participated and showed their commitment towards the currently being implemented campaign. Under the campaign, the Block Development Officer, Saur Bazar and the Block Coordinator gave the message of environmental protection by planting a tree in the name of Maa in the block premises. In the village Panchayat Mahisi under Mahisi block, ANMs, sanitation workers, teachers and common citizens were made committed towards the cleanliness campaign.
