During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused is the son of the woman's maternal uncle. And he considered the victim's son as his own son. Due to this, he kept doing recce in Jaipur for nine months as a beggar, then the accused reached the victim's house and started beating her. He wanted to take the victim with him. To save herself, the victim ran to her brother's house nearby. She reached there with her brother, meanwhile the accused Tanuj ran away with the child. The accused claimed that this child is his and will stay with him.

DCP South Digant Anand said that the accused head constable Tanuj Chahar had kidnapped the 11-month-old child on June 11, 2023. After this, on June 14, 2023, the parents of the innocent child lodged a case in Sanganer Sadar police station that four men came to their house and a known maternal uncle's son Tanuj Chahar was also with them. In this case, the police have arrested the accused Tanuj from Mathura in UP. A few days ago, the police had received information that the accused Chahar was living with the innocent child in Khaira district Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. A team was sent from Jaipur to the spot and the police recovered the child from the accused and arrested the accused and brought him to Jaipur. The accused Tanuj was posted in Aligarh (UP) and he was absent from duty, so the UP police suspended him.
