Mumbai: Another bribery complaint has been filed against senior IPS officer Kaiser Khalid, who is facing charges of taking bribe from Bhavesh Bhide, owner of a hoarding agency in Ghatkopar. A hoarding contractor has alleged that he had paid a bribe of Rs 30 lakh to Khalid and one of his associates to get the hoarding contract. Apart from this, when Khalid's wife was staying in a five-star hotel in America, her hotel bill was also paid by his partner. The state police chief has ordered an investigation by the ACB on these allegations.
Sakinaka resident hoarding contractor Mohammad Raees Khan, in a complaint to Maharashtra Police Chief (DGP) Rashmi Shukla, has alleged that he had paid money to Khalid and one of his associates to get the hoarding contract.
In a complaint to DGP Shukla, Khan said that in 2022 when Khalid was the commissioner of GRP, he had removed a hoarding of Khan on Tilak Bridge in Dadar, the reason given was that it is the property of the railways and the matter is in court. When he was contacted, he said that if you want to get the contract of hoarding, then you have to fill the tender.
Khan alleged that even after making several rounds of Khalid's office, he could not find any contractor and then the contract was allotted to Gujju Edna Bhinde without any tender. Khalid allegedly assured Khan that he would be given another hoarding contract in Dadar Railway Colony. Khan claimed that he paid Rs 10 lakh at Khalid's house on Khalid's demand, while Rs 20 lakh was paid to Arshad Khan, director of Khalid's wife's textile company in Shivajinagar. Complainant Mohammad Rais Khan has also submitted WhatsApp chats between Khalid Arshad Khan and some others along with the complaint. This money was given at the behest of Khalid. Apart from this, the plaintiff contractor has also alleged that he paid Arshad Khan's five-star hotel bill in America.
Khalid's wife's company is under investigation for allegedly receiving Rs 46 lakh from Bhavesh Bhide, owner of Ego Media Pvt Ltd, a hoarding company in Ghatkopar.
