Sushila murder case solved in Ramgarh, three accused arrested

Ramgarh, June 03 (HS). The mystery of the murder of 60-year-old Sushila Devi in ​​Vidyanagar locality of the city has been solved. Sushila Devi's daughter-in-law's elder sister and her husband along with three others committed the crime of murder and robbery. They had hoped that they would get property worth lakhs of rupees in this crime, which would end their financial crisis. Police have arrested three accused while two are absconding.

Ramgarh SP Dr Bimal Kumar told in a press conference on Monday that Sneha alias Rinki along with her husband Arif Nayyar alias Arya planned the robbery and murder. For this, they chose the house of her sister Vidya alias Tanu. The SP told that an SIT was formed to solve this crime. The police took out CCTV footage and showed it to the family members. Asharfi Prasad and his family members refused to identify the suspects, but when Asharfi Prasad's in-laws reached Ramgarh, they identified daughter Sneha alias Rinki and son-in-law Arif.

SP said that the officers involved in SIT arrested Sneha and Arif after identification. During police interrogation, they said that three other people were also involved with them in this crime. All of them are from Ramgarh district. On their information, police arrested 21-year-old Afsar Ali, resident of Rehmat Nagar Chitarpur of Rajrappa police station area. However, two other criminals are still absconding. They will be arrested soon.

SP said that based on the information provided by the arrested people, the knife used in the murder, the looted jewellery, the Indigo car and scooty used in the incident, the DVR of CCTV have also been recovered. Along with this, the clothes worn by the criminals during the incident have also been recovered.

Financial crisis and old enmity led to murder

SP said that during interrogation, Sneha and Arif told the whole story behind this murder. They told that to live a better lifestyle in Ranchi, they did many jobs in the last several years. They opened a clothes shop, hotel, restaurant and even a salon but none of the work was successful. Due to this, they got into a huge debt and both of them started struggling with financial crisis.

According to the SP, when Sneha legally married Arif Nayyar in the year 2022, her father and other family members also distanced themselves from her. When the demands of the creditors started increasing, Sneha and Arif prepared a plan to get a huge amount at any cost. Sneha told her husband that her sister Tanu was married in Ramgarh itself. Recently, they have built a house in the city at the cost of crores of rupees. She hoped that there would be lakhs of rupees in cash and jewellery at Asharfi Prasad's house. If they succeed in robbing him, all their troubles will be over.
