Survey of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin begins, different eligibility criteria set for rural and urban areas: CDO | News India

Jaunpur, 05 September (HS). A press conference was organized on Thursday in the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of Chief Development Officer Sai Teja Seelam to add the names of eligible beneficiaries in the list of Awas Plus 2018 under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin. In which all the aspects related to the scheme were discussed. The Chief Development Officer said that to provide concrete roofs to all homeless and homeless families in rural areas, to include the name of eligible family / beneficiary in the permanent eligibility list after the survey, caution will be taken at every level to add new eligible beneficiaries to the list through Awas Plus survey and compliance of the instructions of the Government of India will be ensured.

10 criteria have been set for determining ineligibility in the selection of beneficiaries from financial year 2024-25 to 2028-29, which currently includes motorized three/four wheeler vehicles, mechanized three/four wheeler agricultural equipment, Kisan Credit Card with a credit limit of Rs 50 thousand or more, families in whose family there are government employees, families registered by the government in non-agricultural enterprises, or whose any member is earning more than Rs 15 thousand per month, income tax paying families, families paying business tax, families who have 2.5 acres or more irrigated land, families who have 5 acres or more non-irrigated land.

Apart from this, the Chief Development Officer informed in detail about the pre-determined and currently determined criteria for identification of ineligible beneficiaries for rural housing that there are 13 pre-determined criteria for exclusion which include motorized two-wheeler/three-wheeler/four-wheeler/fishing boat, mechanized three-wheeler/four-wheeler agricultural equipment, Kisan Credit Card with loan limit of Rs 50,000 or more, families whose any member is a government employee, families with non-agricultural enterprise registered with the government, families whose any member is earning more than Rs 10,000 per month, income tax paying families, business tax paying families, families having refrigerators, families having land line phone, families having 2.5 acres or more irrigated land and at least one irrigation equipment, 05 acres or more irrigated land for two or more crop seasons, families having 7.5 acres or more land and at least one irrigation equipment.
