Kaithal, 8 April (Hindustan Reporter) The families of the youth of Kaithal, Karnal and Fatehabad stranded in Russia reached Kisan Bhawan on Monday to meet Indian National Congress General Secretary and MP Randeep Singh Surjewala. Coming from Kalayat along with Congress leader Shweta Dhull, the family members narrated their grief to Randeep Surjewala. Appealed for help in bringing the children back to the country.
Senior Congress leader Shweta Dhool, family member of 6 children of Mataur village, said that 6 children of Mataur, 1 from Fatehabad and 1 from Karnal are being forced to work in the Russian Army. They are being tortured. They are beaten, but the BJP government and their representatives are not helping in this, now the only hope is from you. MP Randeep Singh Surjewala wrote a letter to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, asking for an appointment and apprised him of the situation to bring the children back to the country safely. Through a letter to External Affairs Minister Jaishankar, Randeep Surjewala said that I am in the Russian occupied area of Ukraine. I seek your immediate intervention in an extreme humanitarian crisis to bring back the youth of Haryana. Surjewala also sought time to meet the External Affairs Minister with a three-person delegation.
Among the youth stranded in Russia, 6 youths from Matar village of Kaithal district are included. The age of all is around 19 years to 32 years. These include Baldev son of Shri Mahendra Singh of Mataur village, Rajendra son of Phool Singh, Mohit son of Vedprakash, Manjeet son of Rajpal, Sahil son of Bhag Singh, Ravi son of Ramniwas, Mandeep from village Surewala of district Fatehabad, Harsh from village Sambhali of Karnal.
