Surat: Surat Police Commissioner today sent 9 accused to Ahmedabad jail in the case of attempt to murder, robbery, mobile theft, assault and liquor ban in Surat city. Along with this, orders have been issued by Surat Police under the aspect of 340 crimes so far this year.
In order to maintain law and order in the city during the upcoming 15th August and to prevent any kind of untoward incident in the city, a total of 9 accused have been arrested in the city for attempt to murder, property related, physical crimes. Under the order of detention for the purpose of prohibition, they have been sent to various jails of the state today.
Action has been taken against Shaukat alias Shankar Dilawar Rathod, Tushal alias Tushal alias Tushar Mukeshbhai Kantaria, Mukesh Mithalal Prajapati, Hitesh alias Dadu Dagdu Gurav, Hasan Rashid Malik, Mohammad Arbaaz alias Chekat Iqbal Sheikh, Kalpesh alias Batla Ashok Igde and Prakashbhai Nareshbhai Koshti. A total of 340 orders have been issued against 340 persons by Surat Police so far and similar action will be taken against such persons by the police in future also.
To suppress the evil practice of usury going on in Surat city, yesterday Surat Police Commissioner Anupam Singh Gehlot took strict action against usurers and also took action against 5 ISMOs involved in the illegal business of usury. Tarlabhai Shamjibhai Dhola was sent to Ahmedabad jail, Mukesh Kumar Ganeshmal Jain to Bhuj jail, Vicky Ranjitbhai Chauhan to Mehsana jail, Jignesh Kumar Kishore Chandra Dedkawala to Rajkot jail and Manoj Kumar Ganeshmal Jain to Ahmedabad jail.
