New Delhi, April 5 (HS). The Supreme Court has refused to hear a petition seeking directions to give a cooling off period to judges and bureaucrats before joining politics. The bench headed by Justice Surya Kant gave this order.
During the hearing, the court told the petitioner that this is a time of public interest. Have suddenly become aware just before the elections. After this the petitioner sought permission to withdraw the petition, which the court accepted and rejected the petition.
Andhra Pradesh Congress leader GV Harsh Kumar had filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding a cooling off period for judges and bureaucrats before entering politics. In the petition, there was a demand to give only one pension to those MLAs who had previously been civil servants.
