Supreme Court’s advice to drug users: Being drunk does not mean looking good, this should be avoided. The Supreme Court, while hearing a case on Monday, gave advice to the youth of the country. The court said that today’s youth associate drugs with cool status. He is building the social prestige of his Kutev. Which is very sad.
Justice BV Nagarathna and Justice N. Kotishwar Singh gave this statement during the hearing of the drug smuggling case. In this case, Ankush Vipin Kapoor is accused of running a drug smuggling network. He used to smuggle heroin from Pakistan to India via sea route.
Drug addiction is socio-economically and psychologically dangerous
While giving the verdict, Justice Nagarathna said that drug addiction has a very bad effect on the social, economic and mental condition of the youth. This destroys the shine of the youth of the country. Takes away their entire shine. Parents, society and government agencies will have to make joint efforts to protect the youth from drug abuse. We will also set some guidelines and work accordingly so that the youth can be saved.
Drug racket is a serious problem
The court further said that it is a matter of concern that drug racket is going on all over India. Which is affecting all sections of the society, age group and religion. The proceeds from drugs are being used by the enemy to spread violence and terrorism. Drug addiction among today’s youth affects their future. Drug smugglers often escape. But children and youth are becoming its victims. It is the responsibility of parents to provide a safe environment to children. If children are emotionally attached to the family then values are inculcated in them. And they can avoid falling into the well of addiction.
