Kolkata Rape Murder Case: There is a lot of anger across the country over the rape and murder of a doctor at Kolkata's R.G. Kar Medical College. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has given a big blow to the Mamata government. The security of the court R.G. Kar Hospital and Medical College has been handed over to CISF. However, till now this security was in the hands of Kolkata Police.

Supreme Court gave a blow to West Bengal government

On Tuesday (August 20), the Supreme Court held the first hearing on the incident that took place at Kolkata's R.G. Kar Medical College. In which the bench of Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud asked tough questions to the West Bengal government. The court said, 'How did 7000 people enter the hospital? What was the Kolkata Police doing?'

The Supreme Court said, 'If doctors work for 36 hours, then it is necessary to provide them security. If women are not given security at their workplace, then we are violating their right to equality.' Apart from this, the court has also announced the formation of a National Task Force. It will have 8 members. Its members will also be the Cabinet Secretary, Home Secretary, Health Secretary and officials.

What was the police doing: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court said, 'Did the principal try to make this case look like a suicide? And was he made the principal somewhere else? There was also a delay in filing the FIR. If seven thousand people entered the hospital, what was the police doing?' Kapil Sibal, the lawyer appearing for West Bengal, said that 'the FIR was filed immediately after the investigation.' It is worth noting that the court has also insisted on the doctors returning to work.
