Madras High Court had said that it had directed the Tamil Nadu government to present the details of all the criminal cases registered against Isha Foundation. In fact, today senior lawyer Mukul Rohatgi mentioned the matter before the bench headed by the Chief Justice and sought a stay on the order of the Madras High Court.

Rohatgi said that these are issues of religious freedom. This is a very urgent and serious matter. This is about Isha Foundation. There is a Sadhguru who is highly revered and has millions of followers. He said that the High Court cannot start such investigation on oral statements.

After the conversation, the court told that both the women had joined the ashram at the age of 24 and 27 and are living in the ashram of Isha Foundation of their own free will and they are free to go out of the ashram.
