Supplementary chargesheet filed in Parliament security lapse case, next hearing on August 2

New Delhi, July 15 (HS). Delhi Police has filed a supplementary chargesheet in the Parliament security lapse case in the Patiala House Court here. Additional Sessions Judge Hardeep Kaur ordered the next hearing of the case on August 2.

The court extended the judicial custody of all the accused in this case till August 2. During the hearing today, Delhi Police told the court that prosecution approval has been obtained against the accused under section 13 of UAPA. Delhi Police had filed the first charge sheet on June 7.

Delhi Police has filed a chargesheet under sections of UAPA against Manoranjan D, Lalit Jha, Amol Shinde, Mahesh Kumawat, Sagar Sharma and Neelam Azad. The first chargesheet filed by Delhi Police is about a thousand pages long. On May 24, the court had given Delhi Police 13 more days to investigate the matter.
