Indian-origin astronaut Sunita Williams will lead the crew of Boeing's Starliner spacecraft. Sunita is all set to go to space for the third time next month. It will go on a space journey between June 1 and June 5. Sunita Williams' previous space flight was canceled at the last moment due to technical glitches.

When will the mission begin?

United Launch Alliance is attempting to launch an Atlas V rocket and Boeing Starliner spacecraft from Kennedy Space Center at 12:25 p.m. on Saturday, June 1. A second attempt at the flight will be made on Sunday, June 2, followed by another attempt on Wednesday, June 5, and a third attempt on Thursday, June 6.

Sunita Williams is all set to create history

58-year-old Sunita Williams, daughter of Dr. Deepak Pandya and Bonnie Pandya, will create history once again. She has gone to space twice in 2006 and 2012. Williams has spent a total of 322 days in space in two missions, which is a record in itself. She set the record for the longest spacewalk by a female astronaut by spending 50 hours and 40 minutes in seven spacewalks.

The second space flight took place in 2012

Sunita took her second space flight on 14 July 2012. Then she stayed in space for four months. Sunita made a new record by doing a spacewalk for 50 hours and 40 minutes. Sunita Williams also took with her a statue of Lord Ganesha, Upanishad and samosas on the space trip. Her second mission ended on 18 November 2012.
