New Delhi: People troubled by heat are going to get relief in a few days. There is a possibility that monsoon may enter in a few days. But monsoon has entered Andaman Nicobar between 19 and 21 May. In such a situation, experts believe that monsoon may arrive in Maharashtra on time. At the same time, the India Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of good rain in this monsoon.
Which states can monsoon reach?
According to the Meteorological Department, the normal date of arrival of monsoon in Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Kerala is June 1. Therefore, monsoon can reach parts of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Assam, Tripura and Goa by June 5. On June 10, monsoon can enter Telangana, Sikkim and Maharashtra.
The normal date of arrival of monsoon is around June 15 in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and parts of Gujarat. Monsoon may enter Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, rest of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh and parts of Gujarat by June 20. It usually reaches Ladakh and rest of Himachal Pradesh by June 25.
During this period, monsoon can usually reach some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Monsoon may reach parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan by June 30 as usual. Apart from this, it usually reaches the rest of Rajasthan on 5th July.
There will be severe heat for 5 days
There is no hope of respite from the heat in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and North-Western Madhya Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for the area. IMD had already warned of extreme heat in India during April-June.
