Lohardaga, July 16 (HS). Lohardaga MP Sukhdev Bhagat reviewed the welfare schemes of the government on Tuesday. While reviewing MNREGA, he said that the participation of maximum number of workers should be increased in this scheme. He also asked to take proper care of the plants planted under Birsa Harit Gram so that their development is good in future. Along with this, he reviewed important schemes like Veer Shaheed Poto Ho, Birsa Irrigation Well, Aadhar Based Payment System, Pradhan Mantri Awas, Abua Awas etc. by taking information one by one and gave necessary guidelines.
While reviewing the works of Integrated Tribal Development Agency, he directed to provide pre-matric and post-matric scholarships to students on time. Along with this, he took updated information about the development works being carried out under Poultry Farming Scheme and MSDP. While reviewing the Health Department, he asked to further improve the ICU of the district's Sadar Hospital.
He also instructed the civil surgeon to run the dialysis centre regularly. He said that the availability of antivenom and antirabies medicines should be ensured in the health centres. Along with this, he also inquired about ANC, institutional delivery, vaccination, eye check-up of school children, malnutrition treatment centre, medical mobile unit etc. During the review of the supply department, he inquired about the grains given to the common people by the central and state government in the district. Along with this, he took the updated information of paddy procurement in the district. In the agriculture department, he inquired about soil health test, drip irrigation, National Food Security Mission, ATMA, Birsa crop expansion scheme etc. Along with this, he inquired about the National Horticulture Mission and asked to promote the cultivation of dragon fruit.
He took information about the lamps and faxes operated in the cooperative department. He directed the social welfare department to run a special awareness campaign to stop the practice of witch-hunting in the district. Along with this, he also took information about the Anganwadi centres, malnutrition, child mortality rate, female mortality rate, Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana, Chief Minister Kanyadan Yojana, Prime Minister Vandana Yojana operated by the department.
He also got information one by one about the works of centrally sponsored special central assistance operated under the Planning Department. He got information about the Prime Minister Employment Generation Program, PM Vishwakarma Yojana operated by the Industry Department from the Lead Bank Manager. Along with this, he got information about the departmental schemes operated by Social Security, Drinking Water and Sanitation, NREP, Electricity, Special Division, REO, JSLPS.
