Suggestions taken from stakeholders to organize Maha Kumbh 2025 in a divine and grand manner

Prayagraj, 02 July (HS). In order to organize Maha Kumbh 2025 in a divine and grand manner, a special workshop-seminar was organized on Tuesday in the Allahabad Medical Association auditorium under the joint chairmanship of Additional Director General of Police Bhanu Bhaskar and Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant with a view to include the suggestions of stakeholders of Prayagraj district in the Maha Kumbh action plan.

First of all, Municipal Commissioner Chandra Mohan Garg presented the action plan made to develop Prayagraj as a clean city. He told that under the City Sanitation Plan, till now door to door garbage collection work is being done in 80 wards through an organization. In the remaining 20 wards also, the work of garbage collection will be done from 100% houses by completing the tender process as soon as possible. 5200 manpower is engaged to keep the city clean. In view of Maha Kumbh, 2000 to 2500 manpower will be temporarily increased. GPS tracking systems have been installed in all garbage collection vehicles for monitoring the cleanliness system. He said that no matter how much we try, but without the cooperation of the citizens, it is not possible for our district to remain clean for 24 hours.

Giving information about the major works being done by Prayagraj Development Authority, Vice President Arvind Kumar Chauhan said that the work of beautification of 36 intersections is in progress, including the major intersections, roads, flyovers and other places identified for the beautification of the district in view of Maha Kumbh. Green belts and morals based on the theme of Kumbh will also be made at the intersections. The help of expert architects is being taken for the beautification of intersections and roads. He told about the plans made for Hanuman Mandir Corridor, traffic management at Leprosy intersections, development of six rotaries from airport to Sangam, painting of pillars of flyovers, greenery below it, wall painting, gates on major entry routes of the city etc.

Divisional Forest Officer Arvind Kumar Yadav informed that about 1,50,000 trees will be planted for the organization of Green Maha Kumbh in the district along with beautification of main roads connecting Prayagraj city, small roads and coastal land along the banks of river Ganga by planting more and more trees.

Additional Director General of Police Bhanu Bhaskar said that our top priority is to provide safety and good facilities to the devotees coming to Maha Kumbh. All the passengers sitting in the boat must use life jackets 100% of the time. He asked all the residents of the district to cooperate in making Prayagraj district and the fair area plastic free. He also asked the people to give their suggestions to further strengthen the action plan for security, crowd management and disaster management.

Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant appealed to all people not to use plastic in order to organize a clean Maha Kumbh and said that if we can make Prayagraj plastic free before the Maha Kumbh, it will be a great achievement. He said that all of you should hang two cloth bags at the exit door of your house and take the bag with you while leaving the house.

In the program, MNIT Director R.S. Verma said that whatever support our institute can provide in crowd management, surveillance and other technical work in the organization of Maha Kumbh, our institute is doing it and will continue to do so. He also told about the app developed for Maha Kumbh management.

Police Commissioner Tarun Gaba said that it is a matter of pride for all of us that we are contributing to the organization of Maha Kumbh. Crowd management and traffic management will be done using artificial intelligence and other new technologies. This is such a program that no mistake should happen in it. He said that one has to work hard to touch heights. Everyone should fulfill their responsibilities in this great event by discharging their respective responsibilities with full dedication.

District Magistrate Navneet Singh Chahal said that Maha Kumbh, which is the biggest event in the world, can set an example for the visiting devotees and a good example in front of the world. Everyone's cooperation will be important and useful to create a welcoming atmosphere here. Your suggestions and cooperation are expected for development programs and beautification of the district. He said that all the work will be completed on time.

In the second session, Kumbh Mela Officer Vijay Kiran Anand, while taking suggestions from the officials of Prayagwal, Acharyabada, Dandibara, Khakchowk and other organizations, along with Boatmen's Association, councilors, Hotel Association, Taxi Tempo Union, Street Vendors and other skate holders for organizing the Mahakumbh in a grand and divine manner, said that the event will be organized in a grand manner by incorporating the suggestions given by all of you in the action plan. The Additional Director General of Police administered the cleanliness oath to all the people present in the program. In the program, one kit each was given as a gift to the street vendors and life jackets were given to the boatmen.
