Subroto Mukherjee Cup Football Competition was inaugurated in the 24th State Level School Sports Competition

Jagdalpur, 4 July (HS). The Subroto Mukherjee Cup Football Competition was inaugurated on Thursday at Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Town Hall under the 24th State Level School Sports Competition. On this occasion, MLA Chitrakote Vinayak Goyal, while addressing the players, trainers and dignitaries from the seat of chief guest, said that victory and defeat are inevitable in any competition, but the best performance of a player's talent proves his ability and gives him an identity.

While praising the talent of state level award winning player and coach Balmati Yadav, a resident of Lamdagudha of his region, he encouraged other players to perform well. He also talked about taking all the players and coaches participating in the Subroto Mukherjee Cup football tournament on a tour of the famous Chitrakote waterfall.

MLA Vinayak Goyal said that the state government is taking every possible initiative to promote sports activities along with providing education. In this direction, players are being encouraged along with expansion of sports facilities. He wished the players to perform better with sportsmanship and achieve success at the state and national level.

While presiding over the program, District Panchayat President Vedvati Kashyap congratulated the players for displaying their talent with discipline and said that sports build personality and promote physical, intellectual and mental development with positive energy. She asked the players to bring glory to their region by performing well in the competition.

Mayor Safira Sahu also wished the players for their excellent performance. On this occasion, the competition was inaugurated by the guests by lighting a lamp in front of the photograph of Maa Saraswati. District Education Officer Baliram Baghel said in his welcome address that more than 250 players, students, sports officers and trainers from 05 zones of the state, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Surguja and Bastar are participating in this Subroto Cup Football Competition. In which players of 15 and 17 years of age are included in the boys category and 17 years of age in the girls category. During this, student player Jiya Manikpuri administered the oath to all the players to follow the rules and participate in the competition with discipline. On this occasion, public representatives of the area, officers and employees of the education department and a large number of sports loving dignitaries were present.
