Subhash Palekar Agricultural Training Camp: Governor and Chairman of Rajasthan Farmers Commission participated | News India

Jaipur/Sikar, 5 October (Hindustan Reporter). On the second day of the three-day training camp based on natural farming methods of Subhash Palekar, Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde and Rajasthan Farmers Commission Chairman C.R. Chaudhary was present as the chief guest. More than 1000 farmers from more than 13 states participated in this workshop organized by Jamnalal Kaniram Bajaj Trust (JKBT). The chief guests appreciated this important initiative organized by Jamnalal Kaniram Bajaj Trust of Bajaj Foundation. Which is motivating and training farmers for natural farming.

Governor Haribhau Bagde expressed his gratitude for being a part of this mass movement. He said that the efforts of a private sector business group, such as the Bajaj Group, to spread awareness on issues of public interest such as sustainable agriculture and water resource management are highly commendable. He also said that it is a matter of pride that Apoorva Nayan Bajaj, the great grandson of Jamnalal ji, who hailed from the land of Sikar, is carrying forward his mission of nation building. The Governor appreciated the efforts of Bajaj Trust for this training related to natural farming and farmer welfare.

Rajasthan Farmers Commission Chairman C.R. Choudhary said in his address, I myself am from Rajasthan and I know very well that Jamnalal ji Bajaj was called the Gandhi of Rajasthan. It is extremely heartening to see that the fourth generation of the Bajaj family is also taking keen interest in matters of national interest. He appreciated the suggestion given by Padmashree Subhash Palekar Guruji, in which he called for inclusion of millets (millets etc.) in the school mid-day meal. Chaudhary also expressed pride that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also promoted millet as a super food in foreign countries.

In this three-day camp, natural farming methods are being taught under the guidance of Padmashree Subhash Palekar, the aim of which is to make the farmers aware of the techniques of chemical-free farming at zero cost. Like the program of the first day, on the second day also the farmers were given detailed information on modern technologies and best use of natural resources in the agricultural workshop.

Other dignitaries present during the program also encouraged the farmers and described this initiative of sustainable agriculture as an important step for rural development and national interest.
