Students were made aware about disaster management and cleanliness | News India

Haridwar, August 31 (HS). Under the aegis of Indian Red Cross and in coordination with Indian Red Cross Secretary Dr. Naresh Chaudhary, students of Saraswati Vidya Mandir Mayapur Inter College were made aware by organizing a one-day workshop on disaster management and health hygiene.

The workshop was inaugurated by Indian Red Cross Secretary Dr. Naresh Chaudhary and Saraswati Vidya Mandir Principal Ajay Kumar by jointly lighting the lamp. In the workshop, Dr. Naresh Chaudhary addressed the participants by giving detailed information on disaster management. During this, he said that natural calamities cannot be stopped but with awareness and timely preparations, loss of life and economic loss can be minimized.

Dr. Naresh Chaudhary said that at the time of the Kedarnath disaster in 2013, our Uttarakhand state had very few resources, due to which about 6000 people lost their lives, after which the resources in the state were strengthened. The public was made aware so that the loss of life, economic loss, animal loss could be limited in the disasters that occurred after 2013.

Dr. Karishma Joshi and Dr. Pragya made the participants aware about health and hygiene. In the end, Saraswati Vidya Mandir's Principal Ajay Kumar thanked Indian Red Cross Secretary Dr. Naresh Chaudhary and Red Cross volunteers, Dr. Karishma and Dr. Pragya. All the teachers and teachers of the college along with 600 students participated in the workshop.
