Students presented various models on National Science Day

Meerut, 28 February (HS). A program was organized on National Science Day at Shobhit University, Meerut, in which poster competition and model exhibition was organized. Students presented various models.

The program started with poster presentation followed by model exhibition. Chancellor Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra was the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the program. While inspecting all the models and posters, the Chancellor discussed science with the students and informed them about the aspects related to it. He said that the way girls are participating enthusiastically today is commendable. Apart from this, he stressed on giving a new direction by connecting science and agriculture together in new dimensions. He encouraged the students to publish the presented models through research papers. The program was conducted by students of block Pratap and Soumya. Department Director Prof. Rakesh Kumar Jain welcomed. Vice Chancellor Professor Jayanand said that if students channelize their energy in the right direction then these students can definitely do great work. Ideas about science and Raman effect were presented to the students who came to the program. Program coordinator Prof. Dr. Jyoti Sharma thanked everyone.

This year’s theme of National Science Day was “Indigenous Technologies for Developed India” highlighting the various applications of science. In which mainly students prepared models and posters, in which the main centers of attraction were solar car, gaming model, high speed aircraft, smart city, black hole, automatic solar plate. Agricultural science students demonstrated various techniques. In the poster competition, Manna Kumari B.Tech CS and Shruti Kumari B.Tech CS stood first, Kshitij Raj and Rachit Kumar Gupta B.Tech First Year stood second, Atiqur Rehman and Jatin stood third. In the model exhibition, Aryan Kaushik got first place for his high speed aircraft and Shiva B.Tech BM got second place. The third prize was received by Atiqur Rahman, Jatin, Abhinav and Akash. On this occasion, University Registrar Dr. Ganesh Bhardwaj, Dean Engineering Professor Vinod Kumar Tyagi, Professor Vipin Kumar Tyagi, Dr. Neha Vashishtha, Professor Nidhi Tyagi, Professor Sandeep Tewatia, Professor Sahdev Singh, Professor Shail Dhaka, Chief Public Relations Officer Dr. Abhishek Dabas, Dr. Alpana Joshi, Vijay Maheshwari, Dr. Jayant Mahato, Dr. Shamshad Hussain, Dr. Evgenia Zaharikova, Ajay Tripathi, Aakriti Goswami, Raman Kaushik etc. were present.
