On the occasion of World Environment Day, on Wednesday, students of Government Degree College Rudraprayag went to Jawadi Park and started a cleanliness drive under the Namami Gange project. During this, the school students cleaned plastic waste and requested people not to come to the park and spread dirt. Keep the environment clean and put plastic waste in the dustbin.
Participating in the program as the chief guest, famous environmentalist Jagat Singh Jangli said that protecting the environment from pollution is everyone's responsibility. It is the responsibility of the government, administration, all kinds of agencies and the common citizen to think about the deteriorating environment and changing weather. He said that in today's time, work is going on rapidly on development projects, due to which the environment is getting damaged. In such a situation, the government should think about the environment along with construction work. He said that along with development, it is also important to take care of the environment. School students need to work towards the environment from now on, so that the coming generation does not face any problem.
In the program, environment expert Dev Raghavendra Badri shared his expertise on environmental protection. He said that in today's era, there is a need for both thinking and contemplation about the environment. The damage being caused to the environment is causing changes in the weather. If concrete action is not taken in this direction in time, a huge crisis will soon arise, which no one would have ever thought of.
