Struggle to create journalist protection law and register continues: Ras Bihari | News India

Nainital, September 5 (HS). National President of NUJ-I i.e. National Union of Journalists-India, Ras Bihari, affiliated to the International Federation of Journalists, said that NUJ-I is struggling to create a Journalist Protection Act, National Journalist Register and Media Council for the safety of journalists in the country. He said that just as there is a system of registration for various professions including advocates, chartered accountants in the country, a similar system should be made for journalists as well.

On Thursday, Shri Ras Bihari reached the felicitation program organized at the State Guest House in Nainital on the occasion of the city's journalist Dr. Naveen Joshi becoming the State General Secretary of the organization, and was expressing his views. He said that due to the absence of any specific law for journalists in the country, the level of journalism is also falling. On this occasion, State Vice President Dr. Girish Ranjan Tiwari thanked Shri Bihari for reaching the meeting.

At the same time, the newly appointed State General Secretary Dr. Naveen Joshi thanked the National President Shri Bihari, giving credit for getting the post to the power gained due to unity of the journalists of Nainital.

While conducting the meeting, city president Afzal Hussain 'Fauji' along with senior journalists present in the meeting like Kishore Joshi, Ramesh Chandra, Bhupendra Mohan Rautla, Raju Pandey, Tej Singh Negi, Dr. Sunil Bharti, Santosh Bora, Sheetal Tiwari, Ganesh Kandpal, Shailaja Saxena, Ajmal Hussain, Guddu Thathola, Prakash Pandey and many other journalists expressed their views and along with congratulating Dr. Joshi, thanked the national president Mr. Bihari for giving responsibility in the state to a friend from Nainital and increasing his pride by attending the meeting.

During this, press cards of the organization were also distributed to the members by Shri Bihari. A large number of journalists including SM Imam, Gaurav Joshi, Damodar Lohani, Neetu Arya, Yogita Tiwari, Suresh Kandpal, Akanksha Madmi, Deepak Kumar were present in the meeting.
