Strong administrative arrangements for elections at all polling stations of Jhanjharpur parliamentary constituency: DM

Madhubani, 06 May, (Hindustan Reporter). The work of sending deputed personnel with EVMs to all the polling stations of Jhanjharpur Lok Sabha constituency was said to be continuing till Monday evening.

Systematic arrangements for the election work were completed on Monday at all 338 polling stations of Babubarhi assembly constituency from the local Watson School campus. Under the direction of District Election Officer DM Arvind Kumar Verma, the election process in all the six assemblies of Jhanjharpur parliamentary constituency was declared complete.

DM Arvind Kumar Verma said that the district administration is determined to conduct free, fearless and fair elections at a total of 2035 polling stations in Jhanjharpur parliamentary constituency. Tight administrative arrangements were made for the elections in all the polling stations of Jhanjharpur parliamentary constituency.

SP Sushil Kumar said that all the police station heads of Nepal border area have been alerted. Adequate police forces and officers have been deployed at all the polling stations. In Jhanjharpur parliamentary constituency, there is information about the arrival of EVMs along with the presiding officer and other polling personnel. The voting timings scheduled for Tuesday in Jhanjharpur are from 7 am to 6 pm.

Jhanjharpur Lok Sabha has six constituencies namely Khajauli, Babubarhi, Rajnagar, Jhanjharpur, Phulparas and Laukaha respectively. The number of male voters in Jhanjharpur Lok Sabha constituency is 10 lakh 45 thousand 444. The number of women voters was said to be 957507 and the number of other voters was 89. The total number of voters is 20,03040.

Assembly wise, the number of basic polling stations in Jhanjharpur Lok Sabha constituency is 315 in Khajauli, 338 in Baburahi, 347 in Rajnagar, 344 in Jhanjharpur, 338 in Phulparas and 353 in Laukaha.
