Strict law should be made to stop cow slaughter: Pandit Adhir Kaushik

Haridwar, March 10 (Hindus). A public awareness rally was taken out under the leadership of Pandit Adhir Kaushik, President of Shri Akhand Parshuram Akhara, demanding the status of cow as the mother of the nation. During this, Pandit Adhir Kaushik said that while respecting the sentiments of the Hindu society, the Central Government should give the status of Mother of the Nation to Mother Cow. A strict law should be made to stop cow slaughter.

Pandit Adhir Kaushik said that the present law made to stop cow slaughter is very flexible. Due to which the slaughter of cows is not being completely stopped. To stop cow slaughter, mother cow should be given the status of mother of the nation and a law should be made in which there is a provision of strict punishment for those who commit cow slaughter. Kaushik said that on the call of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda Maharaj, he will march to New Delhi on March 14 to fulfill the demand of giving the status of Mother of the Nation to Mother Cow.
