Lucknow, 06 September (HS). Bahujan Samaj Party's national president and former chief minister Mayawati gave her reaction on Friday in the case of the fall of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's statue in Maharashtra.
Mayawati posted on social media saying that if a statue falls in any other state like Maharashtra, strict action should be taken against the concerned officials. It would be better if politics is not done under the guise of this.
He said that one should think positively and not negatively about any matter of kings, maharajas, saints, gurus and great men belonging to any community or religion. It is not right to do any politics under the guise of this.
The installation of their statues and naming them should be done with a positive attitude and not hide any kind of malicious or political selfishness behind them. Which is visible now. Very unfortunate.
