Dehradun, 04 December (HS). Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has strongly reprimanded Uttar Pradesh State Construction Corporation (UPRRNN) for doing poor quality work in the construction of ITI buildings in the state. He has directed UPRNN to immediately issue a notice and if the notice is not complied with, then register an FIR against them.
In a meeting held at the Secretariat, the Chief Secretary said that the quality and time limit are not being fully taken care of in the ongoing construction work in ITI Narsan (Haridwar). He has instructed Uttarakhand Drinking Water Corporation to ensure quality and timeliness in the construction work by approving this project at a cost of Rs 187.30 lakh.
The Chief Secretary said that keeping in mind the safety of the students studying in ITI, the technical examination of this project should be done by the Irrigation Department within 10 days and only after that the construction work should be started. He said that all the construction work should be completed before the next monsoon and the security of the ITI campus should be ensured.
The Chief Secretary also said that Uttarakhand Drinking Water Corporation should adopt a long-term approach in all construction works and do quality construction work. He said that apart from ITI buildings, attention should also be given to construction of drainage system and boundary wall.
Additional Secretary C Ravi Shankar and officials of Drinking Water Corporation and related departments were present in the meeting.
