New Delhi: Strategic autonomy cannot be maintained in times of war, even if one country crosses the sovereign territory of another country. This was said by US Ambassador to Delhi Eric Garcetti at a conference titled India-US Defense Partnership.

Naturally, America is extremely upset with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Russia and his growing friendship with President Putin. However, due to the long-standing closeness between India and Russia, America wants Modi to help bring peace in the Ukraine war.

However, in this conference held yesterday evening, Eric Garcetti mentioned the Ukraine war and said in clear words that in today's world no war can be a distant war. Not only this, during the war, the allies cannot maintain strategic autonomy. Along with this, he also believed that due to his closeness to President Putin, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will prove to be helpful in bringing peace in the Ukraine war.

Referring to the military equipment purchased by India from Russia, he said that the reason for this is that India has to buy spare parts of the Russian weapons purchased earlier. But now America is also supplying weapons to India on a large scale. Therefore, the situation is changing.

In his speech, Eric Garcetti referred to the India-China border dispute and said that every country has the right to maintain its territorial integrity and border sovereignty. Similarly, Ukraine has the right to maintain its territorial integrity and border sovereignty.

India's Foreign Ministry refused to comment on the sharp attacks by the US envoy.
