Dhamtari, September 19 (HS). Shiv Mahapuran Katha will be held from Friday 20 September to 24 September in the grounds of Kantakuridih near village Kukrel, located 10 km from Dhamtari. International storyteller Pt. Pradeep Mishra of Sihor will narrate the story. Before the Katha, Pt. Pradeep Mishra prayed to Lord Rudreshwar in the village Rudri near Dhamtari and prayed for happiness and prosperity.

A day before, on 19th September, Thursday, at 2 pm, Kalash Yatra was taken out from Banspara Kukrel Shiv Mandir. The Kalash Yatra passed through the main roads and ended at village Kantakurridih. The process of people from all over the state coming to the Katha Sthal has started from Wednesday. More than two lakh people are expected to come to Kantakurridih. Apart from the grand pandal, space has been reserved for other arrangements in the 50 acres of land of village Kantakurridih. Apart from police, health, drinking water, inquiry, other stalls have been set up here. Storyteller Pt. Pradeep Mishra of Sihor will narrate the Shiv Mahapuran Katha from 1 pm to 4 pm from 20th September to 24th September.
