At the same time, Nifty50 has also fallen by more than 350 points. The rupee is trading at a new record low of 85.84 against the dollar, falling 5 paise.

At 11.50 am, Nifty was trading 361 points down at 23643.75 and Sensex was trading 1139.75 points down at 78083.36. There is turmoil in the stock market due to huge differences in auto, metal, realty and power shares. Globally, the dollar index and US yields are also continuously rising. In comparison to which the rupee has fallen to its lowest level. On the other hand, investors have now come out of the holiday mood. Which has affected the market sentiment. Market experts are indicating that foreign investors will also register selling unless the dollar index rises and US yields stabilize. India Volatility Index (VIX) rose 6 percent.

1400 points difference in smallcap

All-round selling has been seen in the stock market. A decline has been recorded in banking shares. Bank of Baroda is trading with a decline of 5.30 percent, Yes Bank 4.16 percent, Canara Bank 3.75 percent. Heavy selling was recorded in HDFC Bank. As a result Bankex has suffered a loss of 1000 points. Smallcap index has fallen by more than 1400 points and midcap by more than 950 points. According to market experts, one of the reasons for the big fall in the stock market is the outbreak of a new virus in China. The highly contagious HMPV virus, like the Corona virus, is spreading in China. One case of which has also been found in the country. Therefore, investors have been seen adopting a cautious approach. It is noteworthy that according to WHO, till January 2, there has been no significant increase in virus cases.

Investors’ capital reduced by Rs 10 lakh crore

With a big fall in the stock market, investors’ capital started the afternoon session at Rs. There has been a decrease of Rs 9.61 lakh crore. 363 shares hit lower circuit on BSE. Whereas out of total 4099 traded shares, only 734 shares are being traded in favor of improvement. Apart from this, 3223 shares are trading in the red zone. At the same time, 159 shares have reached the new high of the year.
