Stock market sets new record, Sensex crosses 78,000 points

The stock market has once again set a record. During the trading session, the benchmark Sensex of the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 675 points to reach 78,016.04 points. However, at 2:35 pm, the Sensex is trading 620 points higher at 77,960.95 points. On Tuesday, the Sensex opened at 77,529.19 points.

At the same time, the National Stock Exchange's major index Nifty is also seeing a rise. According to the data, during the trading session, Nifty touched the highest level of 23,710.45 points for the first time. However, today Nifty has seen a jump of up to 172.6 points. At the same time, Nifty is trading at 23,688.45 points with a gain of 151 points.

Which stocks are in the uptrend?

The main reason for the rise in the stock market is believed to be the rise in banking shares. According to the data, Axis Bank is seeing a rise of about 3 percent and the price has reached Rs 1263.5. Shares of Shriram Finance rose 2.70 percent, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank shares rose 2.25 percent. Shares of Larsen & Toubro are seeing a rise of one and a half percent.

At the same time, BPCL shares are at the top in Nifty's losers list with a decline of 2.50 percent. Tata Steel shares are seeing a decline of 1.5 percent. Eicher Motors shares are trading 1.40 percent down. ONGC and Adani Port shares are trading 1 percent down.
