New Delhi, July 15 (HS). The domestic stock market is witnessing a bullish trend today. Today's trading started with a new opening record. In the initial trading, there was also some selling due to profit booking. But the stock market continued to trade in the green mark. After the first hour of trading, the Sensex was trading with a strength of 0.18 percent and the Nifty with a strength of 0.27 percent.
After the first hour of trading, among the stock market's big stocks, HCL Technology, UltraTech Cement, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra and NTPC's shares were trading with a strength of 2.93 percent to 0.86 percent. On the other hand, Asian Paints, Axis Bank, Titan Company, Tata Steel and Bajaj Finserv's shares were seen trading with a decline of 1.21 percent to 0.21 percent.
Till now, there was active trading in 2,261 stocks in the stock market. Out of these, 977 stocks were trading in the green zone by making profit, while 1,284 stocks were trading in the red zone by suffering loss. Similarly, out of 30 stocks included in Sensex, 20 stocks remained in the green zone with buying support. On the other hand, 10 stocks were trading in the red zone due to selling pressure. While out of 50 stocks included in Nifty, 33 stocks were seen trading in the green zone and 17 stocks in the red zone.
The BSE Sensex today opened at a level of 80,686.54 points, jumping 167.20 points and setting a new opening record. After the start of trading, buyers and sellers in the market started trying to dominate each other, due to which the movement of this index also kept fluctuating continuously. Under the pressure of selling, this index fell to 80,556.97 points. But after this, on getting the support of buying, it strengthened its position in a short time. After the first 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, the Sensex was trading at a level of 80,668.22 points with a gain of 148.88 points.
Like the Sensex, NSE's Nifty also made a new opening record today and started trading at 24,587.60 points with a gain of 85.45 points. After the market opened, the tussle between the bulls and the bears started and the movement of this index also kept fluctuating continuously. However, due to the support of buying, this index was successful in maintaining its place in the green mark continuously. After the initial 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, Nifty was trading at 24,568.55 points with a gain of 66.40 points.
Earlier, on the last trading day of last week, on Friday, the Sensex closed at 80,519.34 points with a gain of 622 points or 0.78 percent. On the other hand, the Nifty ended Friday's trading at 24,502.15 points with a gain of 186.20 points or 0.77 percent.
