Stock market rises in early trade, Sensex and Nifty jump | News India

New Delhi, August 20 (HS). The domestic stock market is witnessing a bullish trend during the early trade today. Today's trade also started with a gain. After the market opened, there was a slight selling pressure, but after that the stock market gained momentum due to buying support. After the first hour of trading, Sensex was trading with a gain of 0.59 percent and Nifty with a gain of 0.62 percent.

After the first hour of trading, among the major stocks of the stock market, BPCL, SBI Life Insurance, Hero MotoCorp, IndusInd Bank and TCS were trading with a gain of 2.40 percent to 1.38 percent. On the other hand, ONGC, Bharti Airtel, Cipla, Tata Steel and HCL Technology were trading with a decline of 1.64 percent to 0.21 percent.

Till now, there was active trading in 2,253 stocks in the stock market. Out of these, 1,464 stocks were trading in the green zone by making profits, while 789 stocks were trading in the red zone by suffering losses. Similarly, out of the 30 stocks included in the Sensex, 26 stocks remained in the green zone with the support of buying. On the other hand, 4 stocks were trading in the red zone due to the pressure of selling. While out of the 50 stocks included in the Nifty, 41 stocks were seen trading in the green zone and 9 stocks in the red zone.

The BSE Sensex opened today with a gain of 297.86 points at 80,722.54 points. As soon as the trading started, the index fell to 80,517.95 points due to profit booking. After this fall, buyers took charge of the market and started buying actively, which increased the movement of this index. After the initial 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, the Sensex was trading at 80,901.62 points with a gain of 476.94 points.

Like the Sensex, NSE's Nifty also started trading at 24,648.90 points, jumping 76.25 points today. Due to selling pressure in the early trade, the index fell to 24,607.20 points. However, after this, due to buyers becoming active, the movement of this index also increased. After the initial 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, Nifty was trading at 24,720.35 points with a gain of 147.70 points.

Earlier on the last trading day on Monday, the Sensex closed at 80,424.68 points with a weakness of 12.16 points i.e. 0.02 percent. On the other hand, the Nifty ended Monday's trading at 24,572.65 points with a gain of 31.50 points i.e. 0.13 percent.
