The stock market opened at a record high and the Nifty crossed 23600 for the first time today on June 19, 2024. The BSE Sensex opened above 77500 and also touched a new all-time high. The market started at an all-time high. The stock market opened at 77,543.22, up 242.08 points or 0.31 per cent. NSE's Nifty opened at 23,629.85, up 72.80 points or 0.31 per cent. Today, the Nifty made a new high of 23630.70 and the Sensex made a new record high of 77,581.46.

Currently, out of the 30 Sensex stocks, 15 stocks are rising and only 15 stocks are falling. Today, bank stocks dominate the top gainers of the Sensex and 5 out of the top 6 stocks are banking stocks. Indusind Bank was at the top with a rise of 2.12 percent while Kotak Mahindra Bank was at the second position with a rise of 0.83 percent. ICICI Bank was up 1.73 percent and JSW Steel was up 0.99 percent. Axis Bank rose 0.93 percent.
