Indian stock markets had a mixed start today i.e. Thursday, May 9, Sensex opened with a slight gain but Nifty declined. Bank Nifty opened with a decline but is back in the green with a sharp bounce soon after opening. Today, except bank, auto and realty stocks, all other stocks are showing a weak trend.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 21 are down and only nine are up. Apart from Nifty PSU Bank, Auto and Consumer Durables shares, all other sectors saw a decline. Nifty Auto has the highest gain of 1.58 percent.
Yesterday also the market closed flat
Yesterday i.e. on 8th May, flat trading was seen in the Indian stock market. Sensex fell 45 points to close at 73,466. Whereas Nifty closed at the level of 22,306. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 15 declined and 15 rose.
