Stock market at new peak, Sensex and Nifty made new record of strength

New Delhi, April 8 (Hindustan Reporter) Due to heavy buying by foreign institutional investors today, the domestic stock market once again set a new record of all-time high. Today's business also started on a strong note. Bulls continued to dominate the trading throughout the day. However, from time to time there were attempts to book profits. Despite this, both the stock market indices continued to remain in the green and ultimately succeeded in creating a new record of all-time high closing. After the day's trading, Sensex closed with a gain of 0.67 percent and Nifty with a gain of 0.68 percent. Due to the boom in today's business, for the first time the market capitalization of BSE listed companies crossed the level of Rs 400 crore.

During today's trading, there was widespread buying in shares of Oil & Gas, Automobile and Realty sectors. Similarly, Infrastructure, Energy, Metal, Pharmaceutical and Public Sector Enterprise indices also closed with gains. Mixed trading was seen in Broader Market today. BSE Midcap index closed today with a gain of 0.26 percent. On the other hand, the Smallcap index ended today's trading with a weakness of 0.06 per cent.

Today, due to the surge in the market, the wealth of stock market investors increased by more than Rs 1.5 lakh crore. The market capitalization of BSE listed companies increased to Rs 400.86 lakh crore (provisional) after today's trading. Whereas on the last trading day of last week i.e. Friday, their market capitalization was Rs 399.31 lakh crore. In this way, investors made a profit of about Rs 1.55 lakh crore from today's trading.

Today, there was active trading in 4,055 shares in BSE during the day's trading. Of these, 1,900 shares closed with gains, while 2,028 shares closed with a decline, while 127 shares closed without any movement. There was active trading in 2,239 shares in NSE today. Of these, 1,037 shares closed in the green after earning profit and 1,202 shares closed in the red after incurring a loss. Similarly, out of 30 shares included in Sensex, 23 shares closed with gains and 7 shares closed with decline. Whereas out of the stocks included in Nifty, 37 stocks closed in the green mark and 13 stocks closed in the red mark.

Today, BSE Sensex opened at 74,555.44 points with a gain of 307.22 points, creating a new record of all-time high opening. Shortly after the start of trading, the bulls took over the market, due to which the index started rising rapidly. With the support of continuous buying, this index jumped 621.08 points to reach its highest level of 74,869.30 points shortly after 1 pm. However, after this there was a slight decline in this index due to selling in profit booking. After the whole day's trading, the Sensex closed at 74,742.50 points with a gain of 494.28 points, creating a new record of all-time high closing.

Like Sensex, NSE's Nifty started trading today at 22,578.35 points with a gain of 64.65 points. Due to buying momentum after market opening, this index also rose by 183.60 points at the beginning of the second session of the day and reached its highest level of 22,697.30 points. But after this, due to profit booking, there was a sharp decline in the movement of this index. After some time, buyers took control of the situation by creating buying pressure. After buying and selling throughout the day, Nifty also closed at 22,666.30 points with a gain of 152.60 points, creating a new record of all-time high closing.

After the day's trading, among the big stocks of the stock market, Eicher Motors joined the list of today's top 5 gainers with a gain of 4.33 percent, Maruti Suzuki 3.57 percent, Mahindra & Mahindra 3.22 percent, NTPC 2.52 percent and JSW Steel 2.26 percent. . On the other hand, Adani Ports joined the list of today's top 5 losers with a weakness of 1.96 per cent, Nestle 1.56 per cent, Apollo Hospitals 1.41 per cent, Wipro 1.06 per cent and LT Mindtree 0.61 per cent.
