Steno accused of bribery will be suspended after vigilance report: District Magistrate | News India


Moradabad, 02 September (HS). District Magistrate Anuj Kumar Singh said on Monday that Thakurdwara SDM's steno Sachin Sharma, who was arrested by Anti Corruption two days ago on charges of taking a bribe of 50 thousand, will be suspended after receiving the vigilance report.

It is noteworthy that steno Sachin Sharma had demanded Rs 50,000 from farmer Sukhveer Singh, resident of Karanpur in Thakurdwara area, for getting agricultural land declared as non-agricultural land. The farmer had complained about this to SP Vigilance Bareilly. The vigilance team came to Thakurdwara and investigated in a confidential manner. Two days ago

On Saturday, the vigilance team caught the steno while taking a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a farmer. The team took the accused steno to Bareilly to present him in the court. The District Magistrate has not yet received the vigilance report in this case. The District Magistrate has said that legal action will be taken against the steno after receiving the report.
