Surat News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced 'Catch Rain' scheme in the year 2021. Union Jal Shakti Minister and Gujarat region chairman CR Patil is trying to take this scheme to the people. Under this scheme, efforts are being made to make Gujarat a model for other states, today in Surat in the presence of CR Patil and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar. In the presence of Samrat Choudhary, Minister, Water Harvesting-Public Participation-Public Movement program took place. In this program, commitment letters were given to the Chief Ministers of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Deputy Chief Ministers of Bihar under Jal Sanchay-Jan Bhagidari.
Speaking in this program, CR Patil said that the country has accepted many models of Gujarat's works, the model of water storage is also going to be added to it. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made arrangements to provide 'tap water to every house' and in five years, tap water is being supplied to 15 crore houses.
PM Modi has pledged for a developed India for which it is necessary to develop every household. Narendra Modi has emphasized on cleanliness and for this he had talked about cleanliness from the Red Fort and today under his leadership, toilets have been arranged for the people in most parts of the country.
If we do not conserve water, it will be difficult for the next generation to get water. With this scheme, Rajasthan will get adequate water in the next two years under the leadership of Modi. For the first time in our country, the work of linking 11 rivers is going to be done. Without water it is not possible to live, it is not possible to do farming, it is not possible to do industry, hence we should worry about storing the rain water in the ground.
Addressing the program, Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Samrat Chaudhary said that Bihar is adjacent to the border of Nepal and when there is heavy rain in Nepal, its water comes to Bihar. After the formation of the NDA government in Bihar, the Bihar and Central governments have made arrangements for proper storage of water when water is released from Nepal to India. Catch the Rain campaign will be a big blessing for all of us and this campaign will help in filling the water deficient areas.
The work of dams in the country was stopped for a long time, but I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CR Patil for providing four dams to stop the water coming from Nepal. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is achieving all heights of development.
