Bhopal, June 21 (HS). On the occasion of the 10th International Yoga Day, yoga is being practiced in Madhya Pradesh today. Due to rain, the main program in Bhopal is being organized at the Chief Minister's residence instead of the Lal Parade Ground. Here Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the state-level yoga practice program and Shri Anna Samvardhan Abhiyan. Bhopal MP Alok Sharma and Mayor Malti Rai were present on this occasion.
Children and public representatives also performed group yoga in the program. In his address during the yoga program, CM Mohan extended hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the yoga lovers of the world including the people of the state and the country on International Yoga Day. He said that yoga means the connection of mind and soul. Connection of soul with consciousness, with universality. The Madhya Pradesh government has formed the Yoga Commission. The Department of Happiness is working in the state. Ayurvedic colleges are being opened. He said that we have made yoga a part of the curriculum.
CM said that ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced to celebrate Yoga Day, a massive campaign has been launched to remain healthy through yoga. The state government is also participating in it with great enthusiasm. Physical fitness is required to remain healthy through yoga. Along with this fitness, diet is also equally important. We get this efficiency through Shri Anna i.e. coarse food.
