Addressing the participating children from the seat of chief guest in the closing ceremony of the four-day state level children's science exhibition and West India Science Fair 2024 organized under the aegis of State Educational Research and Training Council Raipur and Regional Science Center Raipur at Jagtu Mahara Government Higher Secondary School of the district headquarters, District Panchayat Vice President Maniram Kashyap said that the performance shown as a child scientist is amazing. If you always maintain your investigative attitude and make new efforts every day, you will bring glory to your name by demonstrating the best talent at the national level.
He congratulated all the participating students and teachers in the state level Children's Science Exhibition and West India Science Fair for their continuous efforts towards promoting science and technology for the society and for new inventions and rules of science and mathematics. Raipur Zone secured first position by giving the best performance in the competitions of various subjects organized in the said state level Children's Science Exhibition and West India Science Fair. Durg and Kabirdham Zone jointly secured second position and Bastar Zone secured third position. On this occasion, the winning participating students and teachers were encouraged by giving them prizes and certificates. The zone in-charge teachers were honored by presenting them with certificates.
District Education Officer Baliram Baghel informed in the report that 250 child scientists and 150 science teachers from 9 zones of the state, Bastar, Dantewada, Kanker, Raipur, Durg, Kabirdham, Bilaspur, Ambikapur and Raigarh participated in this state level science fair which lasted for four days. This state level child scientist exhibition organized on the subject of science and technology for sustainable development included child scientist model exhibition, science drama, science seminar, science quiz, science teacher seminar, science club and teacher support material, individual project, team project etc. Under the West India Science Fair, disabled children were given direct entry to the state level fair to inspire them towards science. In this fair, along with normal students of 9 zones, disabled children have brought laurels to their zone by showcasing their talent. I congratulated the children who participated in 15 competitions of this fair and the 45 children and teams who got first, second and third place from the team.
On this occasion, local public representatives, Raipur State Council of Educational Research and Training representative KK Shukla, DMC Akhilesh Mishra and education department officials, a large number of students, teachers and eminent citizens were present.
